Birdies Miniature Golf Course and Sports Bar
Birdies in Westfield, Indiana, offers far more than delicious sports bar fare. Combining an elegantly designed, 36-hole miniature golf facility with a full-service restaurant and bar, the venue has become yet another weekend destination in the fast-growing Indianapolis suburb. When family fun and nightlife are involved, modern AV technology usually is as well. That’s why Birdies recently partnered with AV Designers to address their facility’s audio visual needs.
Near-silence may be the rule at country club golf courses, but the main rule of mini golf is fun. To help Birdies bring on the noise and entertain guests throughout their rounds, the AV Designers team installed landscape rock speakers around the course. AV Designers also provided and installed a mixer amplifier, equipment shelf, and iPad in the clubhouse so that Birdies’ employees can easily control the outdoor sound system.
For almost three decades, AV Designers has provided sports bar AV system design and installation services. The team was able to apply their experience and unique expertise at Birdies, seamlessly integrating the latest audio visual technology in the sports bar’s entrance, kitchen, private and public dining areas, server stations, restrooms, and patio.
For restaurants and bars, TV and sound system performance is key, but many other important considerations go into AV system design. AV Designers’ technicians created a personalized system that complemented Birdies’ restaurant and bar concept. AV solutions provided included several flat-panel TVs on tilting wall mounted brackets, several 86-inch flat-panel TVs on custom pipe mounted brackets designed to look like scoreboards, custom panels displaying the Birdies logo, wireless access points throughout the venue, easily accessible data and phone outlets, and easy-to-use control panels of the AV system.
AV Designers also installed various types of speakers throughout the venue to match the bar’s decor and optimize performance. Pendant speakers were implemented throughout the interior, flush mounted ceiling speakers were added to the restrooms, and surface mounted speakers were installed on the patio.
